       Now, sales director of ASC Co,. Ltd explains what T5 tube is. Speaking of T5 tube,
 many people may think of fluorescent tube. Now T8, T5, T4 are in common use, 
while 2 years ago they are T10, T12. Then what does “T” mean?   What’s the difference
 between T4 and T5. In fact, “T” represents the diameter of the tube. Every “T” is 1/8 inch.
 We all know, 1 inch equals to 25.4mm, then the diameter of T8 is 25.4mm. 
The rest are:T12-38.1mm, T10-31.8mm, T8-25.4mm, T5-16mm, T4-12.7mm, 
T3.5-11.1mm, T2-6.4mm. 

    In theory, the thinner the tube is, the more efficient the light is. In practical, the thin tube
 is easier to hide, and more flexible. Perhaps that’s the reason why designers like T5 and
 T4 much more. However, it’s harder for thinner tubes to start. Therefore, it have to use
 the electronic ballast to start the T5 tube. And to save cost, T5 and T4 are sold with micro
 support which contains the electronic ballast. While the efficiency and quality of this
 electronic ballast is not good, which causes the the tube is even darker than T8 and 
a shorter serving life. Even so, the thin tubes are very attracted, so the market for T5 is
 bigger and bigger as well as our ASC pcb cutting machine.
